AI is Not Failing Healthcare: Here’s Why.

An alert notified a nurse that her cancer patient had sepsis, but her 15 years of experience with cancer patients said otherwise. However, the algorithmic protocol didn’t provide an option for an emergency room or in-person doctor visit. The patient died several days later. It’s bureaucratic hospital protocols and administrators, not AI, that are endangering patient lives!
